In 2018 we can look back on a history of about 100 Years in civil aviation. 100 years of awe, development and innovation. In these 100 years humanity grew together like never before.
Since 1944, on the 7. of December, the ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) celebrates the International Civil Aviation Day.
A day to celebrate the innovation and its importance for Humanity. But also a day to turn our heads forward, to those who have been yet left out, who don't reap the socioeconomic benefits coinciding with international aviation because it's seeds where sown out unequal.
Every five years, the ICAO chooses a special anniversary theme for International Civil Aviation Day. Between these anniversary years, a single theme for the four years in between is chosen.
The theme for the current four year period is: Working Together to Ensure No Country is Left Behind.
