Freedom, Equality and Justice for All?

The international day of human rights has taken place on the 10th of December each year since 1948, when the declaration was adopted by the UN General Assembly. 
This year, 2023, it is the 75th anniversary of the declaration of human rights and it is celebrated to remind people about its importance and to elucidate the people about the terrible violations of human rights
The declaration was adopted and created by 18 members from the Commision of the UN General Assembly with various political, cultural and religious backgrounds. One might recognise the name Eleanor Roosevelt, who is known as the driving force of the human rights declaration. The declaration contains 30 articles, for example the rights to life, the right to education, the right of free speech or the right not to be tortured. 
Even though the UN General Assembly adopted the declaration 75 years ago, there are still countries and societies that are questioning or not accepting human rights.   
A recent place of human right violation is Gaza, where the civilization and especially the children are suffering from the attacks from outside. “Gaza is the most dangerous place to be a child”, that is how UNICEF is naming it. 
But that is not the only place where human rights are being stolen from the people. In Russia, the press is not able to report freely and homosexuality is tracked brutally. In Iran, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Somalia and Yemen people are even getting killed for homosexuality. 
Also, women have a hard time being women in countries like Saudi Arabia, their rights are structurally oppressed. 
Precisely because of that, it is important to educate about human rights and to be aware of the consequences of human rights violation. Also the reflection of what human rights we have and how privileged we are, when we don’t have to worry about simple human rights is something we celebrate on the 10th of December. 
On the website of the United Nations there is the possibility to report human right violation, in case you ever notice something that hurts, discriminates or oppresses someone.  
The theme of the human rights day 2023 is “Freedom, Equality and Justice for All”. That is the goal, let’s bound together to reach it. For us and for everyone!

International Migrants Day is observed on December 18th each year. This date was chosen to coincide with the adoption of the International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families by the United Nations General Assembly in 1990.  the world marks International Migrants Day and it’s a day set aside to recognize the important contribution of migrants while highlighting the challenges they fac Migrants and displaced people represent some of the most vulnerable and marginalized groups in society. 
Since the earliest times, humanity has been on the move. Some people move in search of work or economic opportunity, to join family, or to study. Others move to escape conflict, persecution, or large-scale human rights violations. Still others move in response to the adverse effects of climate change, natural disasters, or other environmental factors.
Today, more people than ever live in a country other than the one in which they were born. The global number of international migrants was estimated to be 281 million. International migrants comprise some 3.5 per cent of the global population, compared to 2.8 per cent in 2000 and 2.3 per cent in 1980.
But what means exactly a migrant?
A migrant is someone who has chosen to leave their own country to seek a better life in a different country. This could be due to a variety of reasons including wanting a new job, to study at school or university, or to move closer to family. Many migrants also take their family with them to their new country.
However, not everyone chooses to leave their country. Sadly, many countries are experiencing war and conflict, meaning people are forced to leave their country for their own safety. These people are called refugees. For some families, it's safer to flee their country to have a safe, peaceful life in another country. There are also many other reasons why people are forced out of their homes, such as natural disasters. Earthquakes, hurricanes, and tsunamis can destroy people's lives and towns, forcing them to start their lives again in a safer country.
Migrants and the SDGsThe 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development recognizes that migration is a powerful driver of sustainable development, for migrants and their communities. It brings significant benefits in the form of skills, strengthening the labor force, investment and cultural diversity, and contributes to improving the lives of communities in their countries of origin through the transfer of skills and financial resources. 
First of all, the first goal to harness the development potential of migration is the tenth that is reduced inequalities to ensure safer, more orderly and regular migration. The second goal of migration or instead one of the reasons that they move from their houses it’s to pull themselves out of poverty, first goal of the SDG’s, thus, to find better opportunities.
Secondly, the reasons that peoples move from home may be by the different natural hazards, environmental conditions linked to climate change. This is connected to thirteenth and fourteenth goals which is the climate action and the life below water’s goal. These problems are one of these reasons that why people must move, and since these last years the climate change increase which leads to an increase of migration because of the natural destroyed.
The third fact about the migration it’s to know what the advantages from migration for people are, in countries or in cities from migration. About the eighth goal which is the decent work and economic growth’s goal, peoples, cities, and countries gain on knowledges, skills and experience bring by migrants who gain also in skills, experiences, and knowledges, it's give-and-take. They also play a vital role in building diverse and productive society and about the quality education’s goal that help people realize their personal aspiration and educational potential.
Finally, the only way to success as this positive circle of migration is to fostering peace and security, ensuring equal access to justice and protection from exploitation for all for the sixteenth goal. We must build strong partnerships in our cities within our countries and regions and international cooperation to complete the seventeenth goal which is “Partnerships for the goals”.

Volunteers can be involved in a wide range of activities, from environmental protection to social welfare projects, from educational activities to health services. This diversity shows that volunteering is a versatile and valuable form of contribution.
Voluntary work can form the basis for positive change and progress in societies. In particular, by helping disadvantaged groups, supporting education and health services, protecting the environment or assisting in humanitarian crises, volunteers contribute to achieving social balance and justice. At the same time, volunteer activities contribute to the personal development of individuals. It offers the opportunity to develop important skills such as empathy, co-operation, leadership and communication.
World Volunteer Day is an opportunity to encourage people to volunteer and to recognise the efforts of existing volunteers, highlighting this important role of volunteering. Volunteering is a way in which everyone can make a small or big change in their lives. This special day celebrates the power and impact of volunteering and encourages everyone to get involved in volunteer activities and make communities a better place. This article will focus on the importance, history and activities of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
The International Day of Persons with Disabilities was declared in 1993 with a decision taken by the United Nations (UN) in 1992. This day is celebrated around the world on 3 December each year by UN General Assembly Resolution 47/3. The date represents the anniversary of an important decision taken by the UN to protect and promote the rights and freedoms of persons with disabilities.
The International Day of Persons with Disabilities aims to break down prejudices about disability and for society to adopt a more sensitive approach to people with disabilities. By focussing on the challenges faced by people with disabilities, it is aimed to raise public awareness and develop better understanding. This aims to convey the message that people with disabilities are not just an individual story, they are part of society and should have the respect and opportunities they deserve.
