We are ERAMUS+ volunteers from different European countries doing our European Voluntary Service (EVS) right now in Greece. We participate in a project called MEDIART which is provided by the organisation PRAXIS Greece.
PRAXIS is a non-governmental and non-profitmaking cultural organisation (NGO) in Serres. It was founded in 1995 in order to offer a broad spectrum of cultural activities to the local youth and to involve them in cultural issues. PRAXIS offers opportunities via media and cultural activities to young people. Moreover, it wants to inspire youngsters to participate and enjoy their work as volunteers in our activities, in the program of EVS and youth exchange projects.
PRAXIS maintains a strong regional and interregional network that allows the realization of internships, seminars, European Voluntary Services and youth projects within the European context. PRAXIS has its main office with the radio station in the centre of Serres, in Northern Greece, not far away from Thessaloniki. The town has about 80 000 inhabitants. There is a high number of students living in Serres because of the Technological Education Institute.

We want to inform people about what is going on in society and how you can participate in it, especially in Europe. Our focus is on cultural activities and campaigns to support human rights.
Besides our blog, we keep our friends on Facebook updated and create videos for our Youtube-Channel. Here in Serres we also have a broadcast on the local radio station Rodon FM and cooperate in local campaigns by participating and promoting. |
