My name is Jordy, I'm 25 years old and 3 months ago I decided to pack my bags and go to meet a new culture, to enrich myself personally, improve my English and discover the Greece (and try to learn the language of course).

If you are young, lost in your life, aimless, advice, travel! The language barrier is not really an obstacle, of course at the beginning it is laborious, but have the time you will get there. And if you are chilly to travel, there is always a way to learn a language, whether taking lessons, watch your series in another language, read articles, talk to people...

In short, understand that languages ​​are never lost, even if you had studied when you were in school and that years after you go back to the language, you should stay something, believe me.
Before leaving France to Greece, I didn’t have an exceptional level, I was rather bad at understanding and even worse at the oral, but now, I understand things better and I arrive more easily to speak, even if my basic English was not terrible. So have hope.

Día de la paz, que decir sobre este día tan conocido, lo primero que me gustaría decir es que es verdad que todo el mindo participa en este día con mucho estusiasmo e incluse se podría decir que lucen como una familia unida pero tambien hay otros puntos en los que me gustaría introducirme y es que en mi opinión el día de la paz es en si un día que se toma solo una vez al año y es muy especial para todos sin embargo si pensamos claramente el día de la paz no tiene que ser solamente una vez al año, tendría que ser todos los días del año, porque si de verás quisieramos acabar con todas la guerras y los conflictos ya podriamos haberlo echo y cuando quisieramos, en conclución, si quieres acabar con todo en relación a las guerras la paz no se tiene que ser incitada un día solamente, la gente muere una vez al año solo.

​Every September 21st the UN International Day of Peace is celebrated. During the day, all nations and peoples are urged to respect the cessation of hostilities and observe the recurrence with initiatives to train and sensitive public opinion.
The Day also wants to be an occasion to proclaim the ceasefire in the whole world for a day: twenty-four hours of respite from the fear and uncertainty that afflict so many regions of the planet.
Tomorrow there is an invitation to all countries and all the fighters to respect the cessation of hostilities and that at 12 o'clock, local time, one minute of silence is observed.
We should exploit the silence of arms as an opportunity to reflect on the price we are all paying because of conflicts.
On this day the praxis organization wants to reflect on the disasters of the war and promulgate its pacifist thinking.
The first sentence I have in mind for this day is: "War is arrogance".
Invading another nation for economic interests by causing dozens of innocent deaths is a vile and barbaric act, a crime that often finds no condemnation.
If the cause is religion, the phrase I have in mind is "There is no war of God".
No god would want bloody actions among his children. We must have a democratic idea about freedom of expression, each of us in this world has a different culture and a different belief. In a shared opinion this is the beauty of this world, on this occasion I quote an all-Italian motto "The world is beautiful because it is varied".
But on this day praxis does not  just intend to reflect on the war in a figurative way, it also intends to reflect on the war that many people carry inside.
In fact we should break down the walls we have inside as prejudices and stereotypes that compromise the peaceful coexistence between different cultures.
And this is another goal that the Praxis organization promotes by recruiting young people from different European countries, promoting intercultural exchange.
On this occasion I would like to add one of my favorite quotes in favor of peace from Margherita Hack.
"We try to live in peace, whatever our origin, our faith, the color of our skin, our language and our traditions. We learn to tolerate and appreciate differences. We forcefully reject all forms of violence and oppression, the worst of which is war. "
