World Wildlife Day 3rd of March
If we hear the big cat name everyone think about the four largest wild cats, lion, tiger, leopard and jaguar but outside these species we also take care with cheetah, snow leopard, puma, clouded leopard etc.
Despite the fact that big cats are one of the most admired animals of the world their life is in danger besause of human activities. For example the tiger popullation decreased 95% in the past 100 years. The problem also affects African lions, their populations dropped 40% in 20 years. We often use these animals as symbol of power in different industries like car logos, sporting clubs, fashion industry. World Wildlife Day 2018 gives us the opportunity to save these iconic species.
In 2018 the Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festoval co-operated with CITES organize an international film festival for the world’s big cats.
