I came from Hajdúszoboszló, Hungary. This city is famous for its spa, it is the biggest Spa Complex in Central Europe, called Hungarospa. I suggest everyone to go and try it or look it up on Google.
I turned 23 years old last december and I graduated from the University of Debrecen that time as well. I am officially an Economist in Business Administration and Management. I do not regret getting this diploma for a second, because I truly believe that what I studied there is very useful in life, every part of it. Not just the study materials but the skills and abilities. If you really want, you can just go anywhere you like with that kind of education. I may have plans for an own business later in my life, so I want to and have to work in this area. But before I really get into it, I want to achieve my other goals, because they are „bothering” me. I mean I want to do things, but I am not doing them.. why?
Well, I am doing them now. This is the reason I am here.
I see volunteering as a good opportunity to go abroad, meet new people, learn new things. I have never heard about EVS until the middle of January this year and here I am now. It was pretty fast and I am so glad I applied.
When I started looking for EVS vacancies on Facebook, I did not search for specific projects or countries. I just came across this MEDIART advertisement and it was so attractive and tempting. Like I have nothing to do with media (doing radio, making videos, writing articles), but I thought to myself: „It looks really really interesting. I can learn these things, they will show me, so why not?! And it is in Greece, woah!”. Well, there are other things you have to do, but honestly that was what caught my attention.
And it is my third day, everything is great so far. People here are kind and helpful, they are smiling at me. Just positive impressions. I hope this stays this way. I am excited to be here. I am looking for the days ahead of me.
